Teacher Anne

I am really thankful to Shine for continuing to teach the classes online when CB measures kicks in.  I am hoping that we can continue online lessons for a longer period of time.

I have to say this that I am really impressed with the way you are conducting the online classes.  Among all other online lessons that Dharamveer has, yours is the class which is conducted in the best manner.  It feels almost like face to face. Thanks for taking all the effort to make the virtual class so comfortable for the children.

My girls enjoy attending Teacher Anne’s class.  She has taught them a lot of good phrases. Teacher Anne is very kind, thoughtful and patient.  The online class is interesting to my kids and help them continue learning during the Covid-19 period. I’m glad that Shine Language managed to switch to zoom lessons swiftly during CB.

My girl has been with Teacher Anne since she was in Primary 1 (2018).  We have never regretted putting her with Teacher Anne.  It has been a splendid (almost) 3-year learning journey.

Teacher Anne is an amazing and outstanding teacher, although she is firm at times.  My girl looks forward to attending the class every week.

Teacher Anne keeps us updated  on how our kid is performing for the day and  areas to work on.  She teaches the techniques of essay writing which include the  appropriate use of astounding phrases and synonyms.   Even the school teachers are impressed by my child’s usage of better words and phrases.  My girl has been doing well in her school especially in English.  My husband and I know that she is in a good hands of Teacher Anne so we never need to worry about her English score.

We are very sad that this year would be the last year with Teacher Anne for our girl,  but at the same time we are relieved and elated that our boy will be learning with Teacher Anne for the next three years.

Dear Teacher Anne, I would like to thank you for coaching my two girls in their English at Shine Language Enrichment. During the 3 years course, I find that their English has improved tremendously, hence coping well in school. Also, you have helped develop their interest in reading, which is fundamental in any language learning. They always enjoyed the books on your shelves or those that you recommended.
You are always friendly and helpful not only during the lessons, but always willing to help with any queries we have with the school works, which I really appreciate. Thanks for all the ‘extra’ help that you have extended to us.

It has been a great 3 years of rich language experience and learning for Javan ever since he joined Shine Language. I’m deeply impressed by the patience, passion and dedication demonstrated by Teacher Anne. Not only is she professional and nurturing, she has a good sense of his strengths and weaknesses, which enables him to focus and work on the weaker areas. She has definitely inspired my child to enjoy learning English and helped him build a strong foundation.
Javan topped his cohort in English when he was in P2 and as he went on to P3, he continued to excel in English subject and received the Class Achievement award from the school this year. Nathalie has been under the tutelage of Teacher Anne since March 2014 (Primary One). Nathalie has short attention span and is talkative. These have always been my major concerns in her learning process. Despite that, Teacher Anne could manage and engage Nathalie effectively.

Nathalie has performed constantly well in her English, and is among the top 10% of the entire cohort in her school. I attribute this to the well-crafted curriculum coupled with the guidance from a dedicated and passionate teacher like Anne, who always strives to bring out a child’s fullest potential by adopting flexibility and creativity in her pedagogical approach and never ceased to motivate Nathalie to do better.

To us parents, Teacher Anne has been supportive and generous in clarifying our doubts promptly and relentlessly, giving us advice on how to coach Nathalie in her school homework or worksheets, and providing recommendations on revision strategies and reference books. I am assured that Nathalie is in good hands and will be well-prepared for a greater challenge as she advances to the upper primary next year.

Teacher Anne is truly one-in-a-thousand and Nathalie is blessed to have her.

I have 2 children who attended English enrichment taught by Teacher Anne. My elder child being P6 now attended her lesson in P2 and P3. My younger child is currently attending her P3 class.

Teacher Anne is very dedicated in her work. She goes all way out in making sure her students do not miss out what she is going to teach, especially near exam period. She takes note on each child’s strengths and weaknesses, and will highlight to the child as well as the parent. My younger child enjoys going to her classes. I highly recommend other parents to seek help from Teacher Anne for English enrichment.

It has been a 2 fulfilling years with Teacher Anne. My son has picked up a vast amount of vocabulary from Shine English class and his composition writing has improved tremendously from the almost weekly exposure that Teacher Anne has systematically guided my son to better his writing skills. This is especially true when his school teacher has commented on his good usage of vocabulary, good phrases and his flow of writing is very good. Teacher Anne is always around to make sure my son understands the rule to grammar, synthesis and transformation and down to how to answer comprehension correctly. A Big Kudos to Teacher Anne for teaching my son well.

My shy girl, Kym has truly enjoyed your class and benefitted from your dedicated guidance during her learning journey with you. Should I’d known you earlier, I’ll definitely not hesitate to send her to your class. We’re very pleased with her improvement despite attending your class for just a year. Sadly, for just a year only. ;( *smile As a parent, I especially like the software content of the class material and having it in an organized manner made revision easier for us. Dear Team of Teachers & Teacher Anne,

With strong recommendation from friend, Jayden started the English enrichment lessons with Shine Language under Teacher Anne’s guidance since he was in P1.  From the first lesson, Jayden finds the lessons fun & interesting.  He looks forward to the lesson every week.  He has developed the writing habit and enjoys writing since then.  Ever since he started this enrichment programme, he has learnt the different writing techniques; grammar rules and builds up his vocabularies pool.  With that, creative writing and attempting the language paper is a breeze to him.  He is never fearful of any form of English assessments and achieved outstanding results in school.  Achieving outstanding results is important but to maintain the good result is more crucial.  And that, he is able to do it too!

I would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Teacher Anne and you for developing such an interesting and enriching programme.  Teacher Anne is a dedicated, experienced and patience teacher.  She is very passionate in teaching and would go extra mile to share her experiences in life with the class so that the kids can develop more ideas and improve their composition writing.  Teacher Anne would also pay special attention to the student’s weakness and prepared the student well for the school assessments.

During the course, Teacher Anne has been giving us regular feedback on Jayden’s performance in class as well as giving us valuable advice on how we can help him while at home.  This has helped Jayden and positioned him at the competitive advantage in school.  We appreciate the great effort that Teacher Anne has put in!

I do hope that Jayden can continue his learning with Shine Language when he is in P4 next year.  In any chance, I will recommend Shine Language to friends who are looking for English enrichment class.  I do hope that Shine Language can have more locations for Upper Primary section and bring benefits to more kids in Singapore.
